• We ask for the installed capacity, monthly output and product range.
• We compare this to the order size the buyer intends to place.
• A 50-ton/month factory quoting 1,000 ton/month is a red flag.

### 4. Certification check

• We verify ISO 9001, FSSAI, AYUSH, WHO-GMP, APEDA, Spices Board, BIS, CE, FDA or any product-specific certification.
• We verify the certificate on the issuing body's portal — fake certificates exist.

• We request redacted BL / shipping bill copies from past shipments.
• The BL shows shipper, port, date and destination — enough to confirm past export activity.
