Which countries do you ship to?

We coordinate shipments to most global destinations, subject to the product being permitted for export from India and import into the destination country. Common destinations include the Middle East, EU, UK, USA, Africa, South-East Asia and Australasia.

How do I request a quotation?

Accepted Answer

Submit your requirement through the Request-a-Quote page. Include product specification, quantity, destination port, preferred Incoterm, packaging, documentation and inspection requirements, and target lead time. The clearer your RFQ, the more accurate the quotation.

What information should I include in an RFQ?

Accepted Answer

At minimum: product name and full specification, quantity and unit, destination port and Incoterm, packaging requirement, required documents, inspection and lab testing requirements, and required lead time. What is your typical MOQ?

MOQ varies significantly by product category and supplier. For bulk agro it is typically one container; for retail-pack food it is several thousand units per SKU; for textile garments it is typically 500–1,000 pieces per style for private label. We will share the relevant MOQ in our quotation.

Can you source products not listed on your website?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The seven categories on our website are our primary focus, but we also handle custom sourcing requests where the buyer's requirement sits outside these. Use the Custom Sourcing page or send us your requirement directly.

How long does it take to get a quotation?

Accepted Answer

For straightforward requirements, we typically respond with an indicative quotation within 2–4 business days. For complex requirements or custom sourcing, it may take longer because we verify suppliers and check feasibility before quoting.

Can I request a sample before placing a bulk order?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and we strongly encourage it. Sample availability and cost depend on the product. For agro, we typically arrange a 500g–1kg sample. For textiles, swatches or sample meterage. For footwear or private-label work, a sample pair or counter-sample. Sample and courier costs are usually borne by the buyer.

Do you arrange pre-shipment inspection?

Yes. Pre-shipment inspection (PSI) is coordinated on behalf of the buyer. We prepare an inspection brief, schedule with the supplier, coordinate with the nominated agency (or suggest one), review the report and resolve any observations before dispatch. The cost of PSI is typically borne by the buyer.

Which inspection agencies do you work with?

We can coordinate with international agencies operating in India (such as SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, TÜV, Cotecna) as well as capable Indian agencies. If you do not have a nominated agency, we can suggest one based on your product and destination.

Can you arrange lab testing?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For food, agro, chemicals and certain consumer products, we coordinate lab testing through NABL-accredited, destination-recognised labs. We help translate destination requirements into a test plan, coordinate sampling, and review the Certificate of Analysis (COA) before shipment. Lab turnaround times are typically 5–10 working days.

Does inspection guarantee zero defects?

No. Pre-shipment inspection uses statistical sampling (AQL-based), which reduces risk but does not guarantee zero defects. Some defects can still slip through. Inspection, combined with sample approval, lab testing and supplier verification, forms a layered quality system — no single tool is sufficient on its own.

Can you do in-line or mid-production inspection?

Yes. For larger orders or complex private-label work, we can coordinate in-line or mid-production checks in addition to the standard pre-shipment inspection. This catches problems earlier and allows correction before the entire lot is produced.

What is the difference between inspection and lab testing?

Accepted Answer

Pre-shipment inspection is a visual and dimensional check performed on packed goods at the supplier's premises — quantity, workmanship, packaging, labelling, AQL sampling. Lab testing analyses a sample in a laboratory for chemical, microbial or physical parameters — moisture, pesticide residues, aflatoxin, microbial load, heavy metals. The two are complementary, not substitutes.

What are your preferred payment terms?

Our preferred structure is "50% advance and 50% before shipment". Final terms depend on buyer profile, supplier terms, order size, inspection requirements, and product category.

Do you accept Letter of Credit (LC)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For larger orders or new-buyer relationships, we can accept an irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight, issued by a reputed bank. LC terms must mirror the Proforma Invoice exactly. We recommend having the LC draft reviewed by an experienced trade finance professional before issuance.

Why do you require advance payment?

Accepted Answer

Advance payment allows the supplier to commit capacity, source raw materials and begin production. Without advance, the supplier carries the entire production cost on their balance sheet, which is not sustainable for most Indian manufacturers. Advance is standard practice in Indian exports; balance payment is structured to protect the buyer (e.g., against inspection report or shipping documents).

Is my advance payment safe?

We manage advance-payment risk through supplier verification, written Proforma Invoice, and registered bank account checks. However, no international trade transaction is risk-free. For larger orders or new relationships, consider a Letter of Credit. Always read the PI carefully before transferring funds, and pay only to the supplier's registered bank account.

Can I pay in my local currency?

Export quotations from India are typically in USD, EUR or another major freely-convertible currency. Payment is usually made in the quoted currency. We do not typically quote or accept payment in restricted local currencies.

Are prices on your website final?

No. Prices on this website, if any, are indicative only. Final pricing is always subject to supplier confirmation, order quantity, Incoterm, packaging, documentation, inspection requirements and market conditions at the time of order. The Proforma Invoice is the binding commercial document.

Which documents will I receive with my shipment?

Accepted Answer

A typical export document set includes Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading or Airway Bill, Inspection Certificate (if PSI done), and Lab Report / COA (if lab testing done). For plant-origin agro, a Phytosanitary Certificate is mandatory. For food, FSSAI / Health Certificate. For wood packaging, ISPM-15 fumigation certificate. Specific document lists vary by product and destination.

Which Incoterms do you work with?

We work with FOB, FCA, CIF, CFR and EXW — Incoterms 2020. Our default is FOB or FCA, but we can quote CIF where the buyer prefers the seller to arrange freight. Always specify the Incoterm and named port in full in the Proforma Invoice (e.g., "FOB Nhava Sheva, India, Incoterms 2020").

Transit times vary significantly by destination, mode (sea vs air) and port. Sea freight to the Middle East is typically 7–14 days; to EU 20–30 days; to USA 25–40 days; to Australasia 25–35 days. Air freight is typically 3–7 days. These are general ranges only — actual transit times depend on carrier, routing, port congestion and customs. Transit times are not guaranteed.

Can you arrange freight forwarding?

Under CIF or CFR, we arrange main-carriage freight and minimum marine insurance. Under FOB or FCA, the buyer's nominated freight forwarder takes over at the agreed point. If you do not have a freight forwarder, we can suggest reputable forwarders, but the buyer is responsible for the freight arrangement and cost under FOB/FCA.

Who handles destination import clearance?

Destination import clearance, duty payment, port handling, and destination-specific compliance (food safety, labelling, standards) are the buyer's responsibility. We handle the export side from India; the buyer (or their customs broker) handles the import side at destination.

Will my shipment be insured?

Accepted Answer

Under CIF, the seller arranges minimum marine insurance (typically Institute Cargo Clauses C). Under FOB and FCA, the buyer is responsible for marine insurance from the moment risk transfers. We recommend all shipments be insured for their full value, and that buyers consider broader cover (Institute Cargo Clauses A) for higher-value or fragile cargo.

Who is responsible for destination compliance?

Destination import compliance — including import permits, labelling rules, language requirements, food safety registration, product standards, and duties / taxes — is the buyer's responsibility in the country of import. We support with documentation and testing, but the legal compliance responsibility at destination is the buyer's.

Can you register with our destination authority (e.g., SFDA, FDA)?

Some destination authorities require the foreign supplier to be registered (e.g., SFDA registration for food exports to Saudi Arabia, EU TRACES, US FDA prior notice). Whether this can be arranged depends on the destination and product. Please mention this requirement in your RFQ so we can assess feasibility.

Do your food products comply with EU / FDA MRLs?

We coordinate lab testing against the destination's actual MRLs (Maximum Residue Limits), not generic limits. EU and US MRLs are typically tighter than Indian limits. We recommend the buyer share the destination authority's official MRL list so we can structure the test plan accordingly.
